4 Ways By Which You Can Make Music a Part of Daily Life

Without a doubt, there are a number of benefits that parents can get from teaching their children music be it language acquisition, improving listening skills, motor skills and memory.

Yet more importantly, music can do much more than that – it can build a bond between parent and child.

That said, here are 4 ways by which you can make music a part of your daily life:

#1: First and foremost, get them to listen to as much music as possible and wherever you are be it at home or even when traveling. Carry music CDs or even turn on the radio if you wish to.

#2: Sing to your little child as much as possible but more importantly, smile when you are singing. It doesn’t matter which song it is, really – but do make it a point to sing literally everyday.

#3: Songbooks are another way by which you can you can incorporate music into your daily routine. Better still, if you play any instrument such as guitar or piano, it’s a good idea to get sheet notation so that you can play while your child can sing along.

#4: Another way by which you can get your child to feel the music is by getting them to dance to it as well. Show your child how to dance, sway and clap to the beat of the songs. Better still, find illustrated versions of songs which children can work with as they sing along.
