3 Ways to Get More People to Attend Your Live Shows

One of the fastest ways by which you can get people to attend your live shows is by word of mouth. While it’s obvious that people will talk about the good music you played both online and offline, there are a few other things that need to be done as well.

Here are 3 things that one must consider in order to build a decent fanbase:

#1: Improve individual playing

You have to be consistent when it comes to playing your songs well when you aren’t with the band. Try to play your songs in different environments be it in the dark or under lights or while talking to friends or even when looking at your instrument and all by yourself.

#2: Your Stage Persona

While 50% of your performance is about the music, the other 50% will require a powerful stage persona. Of course, they’ve come to not only see but hear your gig as well. One way to improve this aspect is to videotape your performance during rehearsals. That, by itself, will help you to analyse what you’ve done right or wrong.

#3: Other Performance Issues

In some cases, when you open a show, you might not be able to do a sound check or even see properly due to extremely bright lights or none at all. Make sure you hear your instruments before every show since each of these shows will be different. As for poor or bright light, you might not be able to see your instrument when playing which can lead to mistakes. Learn to play without seeing the instrument.
